lack of sound when tapping the keyboard

just after a reboot, my key sound disappear from speaker. but I can listen with headphones. I've gone to the control panel and enabled them, disabled them, re-enabled them, made them loud, made them soft, did a hard reset, many soft resets, etc.....

have you thought about reflashing kernel image?

It's really very simple, as it turns out , and you'll have a fresh new image loaded on your netbook - I've tried it and it works with no problems so far.
