what is gwes.exe?

GWES stands for Graphics, Windowing, and Events Subsystem. gwes.exe controls the appearance and sounds that operate within the Windows CE shell. As for the heavy CPU usage, do you have a lot of stuff running at startup (from \Windows\StartUp)?

i have nothing started.the system is just so slow,even a startup of whole system.When it starts it takes about a minute to slowly display icons on desktop. do i have to do a format or somekind of restore i dont know. I instaled 1.90 but when i burned the firmware it wont let me to update system (windows xip.nb0 maybe that is a problem ? How can i reinstall system (wince) and not just firmware .btw i do not have f1 option. Thanks in advance.

Strange that you were able to install 1.9 without F1 option as it should be included.
