DNS failure on Browser for WIFI

I have a problem with Internet Explorer, I can use it fine with a LAN connection.
But on WIFI it shows a DNS error, even though the WIFI connection is connected and DHCP enabled.
Here is the registry for WIFI comms port AR6K_SD1.

The only working registry editor is TRE!

Can anyone tell me what the correct registry settings should be?

169.254.x.x is the autoconfiguration address when windows cant contact a DHCP server

Thanks for the info, the dns details are what I use for my desktop and laptop for loging onto the same router with no problem.

(IP address for the machine are obviously different).

SO why if it works for XP and Windows 7 on WiFi, why does it not work on Windows CE?

that means"when no dhcp assigns an IP for the NIC,use this auto IP".It's not just "always use this autoIP for IP".
so autoIP 169.254.x.x is ok. good system also do this/

for the asker,try manually assign your IP and DNS（call your ISp for local DNS address).

I have tried forcing an IP address and DNS in the registry as shown, but is does not work.

I repeat the same settings for forcing IP address and DNS address works on a Windows 7 and a Windows XP notebook, but not on the minibook.

How would this work if you are signing on to a Public AP?
You have to use DCHP.

Also as this set-up works if you connect a LAN cable and can see the WiFI Icon says it is connected to WI-FI.

But taking out the LAN cable and it immediately fails to update a page!

Put the LAN cable back in and it works fine.

if it keeps "obtaining ip adress",it's not a dhcp problem, it's just weak signal. check the wifi antenna？
