Recently dissembled it

I'm new at this forum and have read many hours on different sites regarding this.
I wonder if someone have some time left to help figure some questions out,

Default it came with wince 5.0, i somehow messed it up trough bios.
My questions is
1.Is it possible to uppgrade this?
2.Can i recover it?
3.I have usb/sd reader, with 2gb SD and one 1gb SD.
tried almost everything,fat32,with script copied to the SD.

I have tried many different version of wince6.0 files and some recovery files.
nothing works

What problem do you have? If it is messed up you should reflash.

my computer did find the netbook, boot i couldn't find the drivers for the rom?

I have downloaded and installed active sync, my wince 5.0 is messed up,
please give me some guidelines.

Active sync wont work with this notebook.

What you did in the bios? reformatted XIP, Flash2, NAND?
Do you have USB-USB cable?

The recover is simple as written in link, follow it and it will be fine

Choose RAM=DDR
And type of burn=Factory reset

I did it all,

I did buy a USB-USB cable from ebay, and did make my computer find the netbook.
but couldn't install it.

Should i download the 1.86? install so the driver find the netbook,
then use the burntool.exe?

Why not? be more specific.
Did you install drivers?
What OS do you have WinXP,Win7, Vista?
What ROM are you trying to burn?

I do this(after drivers are installed):
1.Run burntool, set all the options then back to main screen and only then keep holding switch and connect USB cable.
2.Then Burntool should find the device and then click Start and keep holding switch until done

I have the 1.90 ROM
And a WinXp computer.

I´m trying in the moment download and installing the 1.86 from CnM.
while holding the switch, continue holding switch and then run burntool.exe?

You need to hold switch only before clicking "Start" and then keep holding the whole process.

As in the picture. As you didn't tell what exactly you messed up reflash everything, it is safe don't worry

XIP(Execute in place) is windows ROM area but I think it is not possible to reflash only one file.

The WinCe 5.0 is saying " installing etc" then it hangs up.
I download the 1.86 "switched" the netbook and installed the drivers on my winxp computer.

I have problem using the burntool software,
"can not find shared.... xip.nb0"
" I hold the switch all the time"

It doesn't say installing but "initializing system". If it doesn't get past boot screen it means Windows ROM area is bad.

Download 1.9 ROM it worked for me perfectly, somewhere was a link and didn't need Knights permission. Without working netbook you will never get to Knights permission here so it is little bit silly

If i got this right:
1. Download 1.9 Rom files
2. Set up burntool with this files
3. Burn it into the netbook?

I recently flash and wince 5.0 worked

I did get another problem!?

I can´t start the netbook with the power button!
Only when i use the USB-USB cable then it works fine.

I can´t shut wince 5.0 down only if i remove the cable?!

Flashing did work,

1.Another problem is that the keyboard don´t work at all!?!
2.Can´t start the netbook with power button,only with USB-USB cable
3.I use the USB-USB to start it, and have to remove it to shut it down!?

Please help me with this situation

Never heard of this before, strange. Have you tried a reset button? What netbook do you have, are you sure it is Anyka? You said that have taked it apart do you have some pictures what it looks like...

Yes i have tried the reset button,
pulling out the battery, reset and power on at the same time.

It´s very strange, It only starts when i plug in the USB-USB cable.

Trying my best Hardware seems just like mine, next time if you dissasemble look under wireless card for mainboard number it may help others if you solve this. 1.9 ROM works great for me.

I can't help anymore as I have no idea why it doesn't turn on normally. Maybe try to reflash it again and double check all settings and which file goes where.

Hello

I took a look inside the netbook today.
And did find out that the keyboard wasn't connected correct.

But now the keyboard works

But i can´t start the netbook with the power button?!?!
I tested it with no shell on it, nothing works
only when i have the USB-USB cable connect to a computer
it powers on, and it works fine without the USB-USB cable.
I downloaded opera mini and it runs good on the anyka netbook.

So i have to use the cable every time i turn the computer on
I tried to flash it again but that did no work ether.
