Stick a USB flash with the led indicator in back USB port and when the netbook is booted the LED flashes so it is being accessed but do not boot.

otoluk a question:
have you tried to solder a button on the motherboard in the USB BOOT space???

see this image

i think without the button the boot will not start. No

Gentlemen,

The (not-soldered) button usb-boot has the same function as the two pins you have to short out to upgrade/flash
the device (in my case a zenithink).
Unfortunate it is not possible to actually boot from the USB port!
During boot the netbook looks for a serial connection on this port but can not boot from it.
Nevertheless it is possible to boot from the SD-card when the flash rom is empty or corrupt.
But that is very tricky to do because you have to put the exact whright image on the SD-card.
With the anyka flash tool this is not possible because the tool always writes to the onboard flash.

i tried to get linux (on SD-card) on this device but that is more than tricky.
There are some issues with the peripheral-chips.

If it works i let you know!

Greetings
John
